A group defining game could take place in Beogrado n friday night as Serbia take on Denmark. The Serbians were awarded the game against Albania after a ridiculous scene of fighting between both sets of players following the flying of a drone into the stadium. These politically charged games often end up in some sort of bad tackles but this entire game ended up as a farce. Albania were holding their own and the game was awarded to Serbia 3-0 even though the game was close to half time and 0-0 at that stage. Anyway Serbia though have a good team with some household names in Chelsea's Ivanovich, Matic and Liverpool's Markovich along with Manchester City's Kolorov. This is a tough side and will be hard to beat the appointment of Dick Advocaat shows the Serbian FA's commitment to achieving results with this group of players and they must win tomorrow night at home to Denmark to give themselves some control in this group.

Denmark started the group well with a win and a draw but lost against Portugal last time out. a heartbreaking loss for the Danes as Ronaldo found the net deep in injury time. Denmark manager Martin Olson amazingly blamed Tottenham's Christian Erickson for the loss saying he didnt play well in big games in general. There was more than Erickson at fault for the loss, for one where was the marking in the last minute? With Aggar at the back the Danes have a solid side with a leader but unfortunately they may not have enough attacking power to win this one in Serbia. Nicolas Bendtner leads the line for Denmark and has been less than impressive from what I have seen this year.

I like the Serbians here at home to get the win. Serbia are a team in transition with a few big retirees after the last qualifying campaign (mainly Nemaja Vidic) but I still think that they have the better balance and overall the better team. I am going to take Serbia to get the home win at 6/5.
