Biggest game in the Premier League this weekend will see Manchester United and Arsenal square off in the Emirates stadium in London. Louis Van Gaal lost yet another defensively minded player midweek when Daley Blind was injured while on international duty. Manchester United will struggle defensively on Saturday evening although they were probably going to struggle defensively anyway as they have a number of injuries with Rojo, Raphael and Jones all injured or carrying knocks. But Manchester Uniteds strength this season is on the other end of the field where Rooney, Van Persie, Mata, Di Maria have been lighting it up. There is no doubt that this United offence will be looking forward to getting to grips with Arsenal's defence but then the same will be said for Arsenal's offence including Danny Wellbeck the former Manchester United striker.
Arsenal come into this game after losing to Swansea, although that was a tough loss there are no easy games in the league and the loss at the Liberty stadium will have proven that to the neutrals. Arsenal may welcome back Olivier Giroud into the fold for this weekends game which would take some pressure off Dany Wellbeck who transferred from Manchester United to the London club and will be a key piece of Arsene Wenger's plans for the future. Wellbeck will be coming up against his Old Trafford ex team mates for the first time. Alexi s Sanchez has been the key man for Arsenal this season, the summer signing from Barcelona has been brilliant especially of late. The question is can Arsenal get a win over Manchester United, United are unbeaten in the last six games against Arsenal in all competitions.
There would appear to be some value in taking Arsenal here as they seem the better balanced team right now. Manchester United have too many problems at the back to be a dependable bet in this position but Arsenal seem to have just as may problems finishing games off. Whoever wins this game if there is an outright winner will take a clear advantage in the race for fourth. In positions like this I normally like to take the draw given that both teams may be just a little more worried about not losing than actually winning. But i have been impressed with the way Manchester United have played against the bigger sides this year, even with ten men United were better for long periods against Manchester City and they dominated possession against Chelsea. With Rooney, Di Maria and RVP ( the former Arsenal captain) in the team , Manchester United just have the better players and at 5/2 to get the win, thats a huge price and worth taking. The value here though lies with United on the handicap and thas where my money is going.
