Super Sunday from White Hart Lane as Tottenham host Everton in one of the games of the weekend across the five major leagues. Tottenham have won four of their last five in all competitions but have struggled domestically after playing in Europe midweek, losing three of the four Premier League games they have played following European competition this year. Mauricio Pochettino knows that this will not be acceptable if Spurs are to gain some traction domestically and challenge for a Champions League spot. Harry Kane has eight in his last eight and has earned the right to start and Soldado and Kane may get the chance to work on their partnership again tomorrow. Tottenhams best player s are in the middle though with Lamela and Erickson special players with terrific individual ability. Can one or the other inspire tottenham to victory tomorrow over an inform Everton team?
Everton come into this game off the back of an impressive win in Europe over a hotly tipped Wolfsburg team. That is two impressive wins in a row in Europe and three of four in all competitions. Everton look to have started to come good at the right time of the year. Roberto Martinez is starting to get all his players back to full fitness and Romalu Lukaku is hitting a hot streak scoring wise. Which was needed as Everton struggled to score earlier this season, the return to fitness of Kevin Mirallas will also be key for Everton for the rest of the season as the Belgian winger gives Everton a different option up front.
Tough game here to handicap, I like the way both teams have been playing and this is a tough one to pick a winner from. I am going to take both teams to score here as I think we will have an open game. Both of these offences have been clicking of late and I think there are weaknesses defensively for both teams.
