On tuesday night Leicester City will host Liverpool at the King Power stadium with both teams in need of a league win. Leicester have now lost four of their last five in the league and are in desperate need of points as they have become rooted to the bottom of the league table. Manager Nigel Pearson will hope that his side can get a home win here against a struggling Liverpool side. A win for the foxes would lift them out of the relegation zone if results went their way but more importantly it would put a halt to the horrific run of form that they are currently on. Leicester need to find more goals with Vardy, Ulloa and Nugent all failing to score in Leicester's last seven games.
Liverpool did stem the tide at the weekend getting a one nil win over Stoke in a game they definitely did not deserve to win but to be fair they were due some luck and they got it on Saturday. With Mario Balotelli now injured Liverpool have to rely on Rickie Lambert up front , the former Southampton man may provide a good foil for Raheem Sterling but it will take some time to get an understanding. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers finally dropped Stephen Gerrard on Saturday and the liverpool captain had an impact as a sub a role he may get used to over the next year as it would appear as if his legs are gone for playing in the middle of midfield.
Both of these teams are struggling and this one is a coinflip at best. While Leicester's recent form does not inspire confidence their home form is not as bad with only one defeat in five. Taking Leicester +1 is a risk. Liverpool are without doubt the better team here but they have been playing so poorly that I feel like Leicester +1 is a justifiable bet, especially at home. So I am taking the Foxes on the handicap and am going to spread a little moneyline just in case we have an early Christmas miracle.
