Can Arsenal go to the Britannia and beat Stoke City? This is a real test for the gunners and one that Arsene Wenger's men cant really afford to come up short on. Arsenal have now won three games in a row in all competitions and have not conceded in that three game stretch. Arsenal have definitely looked better on the defensive side of the ball of late. Southampton created little midweek but West Brom had their chances last weekend but just couldnt take them. The return of Koscielny has been a positive influence and Wenger needs him to lead this team. Up front Arsenal are really getting the best out of Alexis Sanchez, since moving to Arsenal the former Barcelona man has nine goals in thirteen games a ridiculously great record. Wenger now has a dilema though that Giroud is fit again, does he stick Wellbeck on the wing and go with Giroud through the center?
Stoke City come into this game having lost three in a row but the Potters have been a little unlucky in achieving those three results, they battered burnley at home but lost 2-1, went behind to two quick goals and just couldnt find the net themselves despite owning the ball and throwing everything including the kitchen sink at Burnley the ball just would not go it. Then Stoke were the better team against Liverpool last weekend but againt couldnt convert those chance and a for a third time on Tuesday night missed chances cost them the chance of at least a draw against Manchester United. Mark Hughes has done a good job setting this team u pto be disciplined hard working and a unit. They will most definitely play with a game plan tomorrow, Hughes always seems to have one for Arsenal but the thing is it works more often that it doesnt.
This is probably my least favourite game of the weekend to handicap. Personally I dont think Arsenal have turned their corner yet and I do think that Stoke will really test them tomorrow but such are Stokes problems up front I find it hard to back them to get the result here. For those reasons I m takign a draw at halftime. I think this one is going to be seperated by the minimum but I cant give away money betting that.
