West Ham take on Swansea in the first of the Premier League double bill on Sunday. The hammers can jump to third in the table if they can overcome the Swans in Upton Park on Sunday afternoon, after a terrific win midweek coming from behind against West Brom Sam Allardyce will be looking for more of the same from his West Ham team. West Ham have an interesting squad with a trio of talented strikers Andy Carroll, Zarate, Valencia and with Nolan , Downing, Amalfitano in the midfield this is a good squad that could be competeing for a Champions League spot by season end if they continue their fine form. It is a remarkable turn around considering earlier in the season the West Ham fans were calling for Big Sam to get the sack. It is just another reminder of how fickle life football fans can be.
Swansea themselves could leapfrog West Ham with a win on Sunday and have been playing well of late. With Wilfred Bony leading the line up front Swansea have a genuine top class finisher and he has six goals in eight games. Swansea though have struggled away from home since opening the season with a win in Old Trafford. Since then Swansea have only picked up two points in six games losing the other four. Remarkably Swansea are still very close to the top four even with that terrible away form. Sigurrdson, Dyer and Routledge form a potent attacking trio from the midfield that link well with Bony up front. Gary Monk will be hoping though his side can finally win another away game here although this one will definitely be a tough test.
I really like the both teams to score market here, I think both of these sides are excellent going forward but struggle defensively and I can see there being three or more on this occaision. Either way I am taking both teams to score. At a push I think I would take West Ham to get the win here but fancy the both teams to score much more.
