Hull City take on Leicester City at the KC Stadium in a relegation six pointer. Hull finally moved out of the relegation zone with their away win at Sunderland on Boxing day. Aluko, Ramirez and Brady were excellent in the win over the Black Cats and the Tigers will be looking for the three to carry that form into this home game. Steve Bruce is still under pressure as boss of Hull but a win here would move Hull clear of the relegation zone and would go along way to ensuring Bruce stays at the tigers till at least the end of the season.
Leicester City are under intense pressure right now, Nigel Pearson's side have now lost ten games in a row and are anchored to the bottom of the league table. It is surely only a matter of time before Pearson gets the sack as Leicester really look destined for relegation. Now six points from saftey the foxes will be further isolated if they lose this battle at the KC Stadium. Ulloa found the net again for Leicester his seventh strike of the season and the Argentine has been one of the lone bright spots for Leicester this season. Leicester were very unlucky to lose to Spurs on Friday and to be fair were denied a definite penalty by poor refereeing. They just do not seem to be getting any luck and at this point its hard to see Leicester surviving, they simply must pick up some points soon.
Tough one to handicap here, I watched Leicester's game against Tottenham and they were unlucky to lose but really never looked likely to win it either. Hull played very well against Sunderland, defended solidly and took their chances. I think that Leicester have been desperately unlucky at times this year and these sort of things normally balance out over the season. Hull are jekyl and hyde at times, playing brilliantly at Anfield and the Emirates and then awful at home to Swansea and West Brom. I am going to take Leicester on the handicap here, I think they are due some luck and while they might not get the win here I think they will get a point. Taking them on the handicap as worst case Scenario I think they lose by one and we finish with a push.
