An intriguing game from the bottom half of the Premier League table will see Leicester City taking on Aston Villa. Leicester are currently rock bottom of the league but with nine home games left they are going to have a good chance of saving themselves if they take full points from those fixtures. Leicester have looked better in recent weeks a great away win against Hull was followed by an away draw with Liverpool. The Foxes are doing their part in helping their fans believe they can climb out of the bottom three and avoid relegation but they must follow up those positive results with a win here against an Aston Villa side who are defensively sound but struggling to score goals.
Paul Lambert has a game winner in his squad in Christian Benteke but he cant be expected to shoulder the entire burden of scoring goals, weimann and Agbonlahor along with the rest of the midfield must chip in. Benteke has scored the only two goals Villa have scored in their last five games. With a solid defence though Lambert has lifted his team out of relegation trouble and will be looking to keep them out of that battle for the new year. Vlaar , Clark and Guzan will form the defensive core of this Villa side and with a hard working midfield in front of them they are going to be tough to beat. Whether it be home or away.
With Leicester desperate for points and in need of wins this might actually be a good spot to take Aston Villa to get a surprise away win. Villa have a really solid core and up front they have a game changer in Benteke. If Villa can get his a couple of chances at the King Power stadium they could be coming away from Leicester with all three points. I am going to take Villa to get the surprise win here as I think their solid defence will hold Leicester out. The big bet is on Villa +1 on the handicap but I am spreading a little on the moneyline as well.
