The second semi final in the African Cup of Nations will see the host nation Equatorial Guinea take on Ghana in what promises to be a tight encounter. Ghana have improved as the tournament progressed. Losing their opening game to Senegal before beating Algeria and Southa Africa and then handling Guinea in the quarter final. Led by Asamoah Gyan the former Sunderland striker and Andre Ayew the Marseille winger along with Ayew's brother Jordan the Lorient winger this is a young side and former Chelsea manager Avram Grant is at the helm. Grant has done a good job in solidifying the side and they seem ready to compete for the title but this is a tricky game and they are playing the hosts.
As with all tournaments the hosts always seem to do better than they would have if the tournament was not in their country. Equatorial Guinea and this tournament are no exceptions, the host nation came through a thrilling win over Tunisia after extra time and will be looking to reach the final when they face Ghana on Thursday. With Middlesbrough's Nsue and Estoril winger Javier Balboa the hosts do have genuine attacking threats but the question is can they match the physicality of Ghana and the experience that Ghana bring.
I think this one will be a tight game and I am sure any of the 50/50 decisions go to the hosts as is normally the way in these tournaments but overall I think Ghana are going to be too strong. Take Ghana to get the win and move on to the final
