Saturday night Serie A game between Sampdoria and Genoa was postponed due to a flooded pitch. The replay is due to take play on Tuesday with Sampdoria hosting Genoa in a derby game. Genoa have won three in a row and it looks like the january transfer signing Niang is settling in well scoring two in his last start for Genoa. Genoa's strong form has left them just three points from fourth and they are one of the inform teams in the league right now. Having shipped out their top scorer Matri I was doubtful that Genoa could continue their European challenge but Falque, Niang both seem to playing well together and overall Genoa have been impressive.
Sampdoria have fallen apart a little bit of late having failed to win in their last five games including three losses although all those losses were away from home. Sampdoria are still unbeaten at home this season and under Mihajlovich they have one of the best defences in the league. Up front and scoring goals has been Sampdoria's problems, selling Gabbiadini in the transfer window made no sense but Eder seems to have gained some confidence since his departure and has three goals in his last five.
I'm going to take the draw here, I think Genoa have enough about them to cause Sampdoria problems and I believe Genoa will score. I have trouble believing in Sampdoria's forward line and can see this one finishing 1-1. I am taking the value on the draw rather than both teams to score as the price is too good to pass up in my opinion.
