Final of the League Cup will see Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur in what promises to be a well matched game. Tottenham Hotspur have become heavily reliant on Harry Kane up front. The fans and the media knew that Tottenham needed a striker pre season and the emergence of Kane has been a revelation for Spurs. In the league fixture between these two at White Hart Lane, Tottenham were brilliant and Kane scored twice in a 5-3 win. This game will be slightly different in that it is a Final and there is a trophy at stake. Will Tottenham be able to repeat that performance in Wembley on Sunday? Christian Erickson pulls the strings in midfield and with Matic missing through suspension there should be some space for Erickson.
Chelsea and Jose Mourhino are looking for their first bit of silverware of the season. Still fighting on three fronts this may be the easiest option for some silverware but the question is can the blues deal with Matic's suspension? with the fit again Cesc Fabregas and the brilliance of Eden Hazard there are match winners in the squad for Chelsea. Diego Costa is also one of the best strikers in the league and will look to get in behind Tottenham's defence at every opportunity. Chelsea have owned the head to head on this rivalry in recent years winning four of the last seven games with two draws and one win for Tottenham.
This one is an interesting final. Tottenham have always aquitted themselves well in big games like this one and Chelsea have both the experience and know how to get the win here. But with Harry Kane and Christian Erickon in fine form and some confidence in this Tottenham team after beating Chelsea 5-3 a couple of weeks ago I think this game is going to go to the wire and it may need penalties to split these two. I am going to take the draw in a game that should be entertaining and will decide where the first silverware of the season goes.
