Tottenham will be looking to get over the disappointment of losing the league cup final to Chelsea when they take on Swansea City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night. Tottenham were very unlucky to lose the cup final at the weekend but in the end Chelsea superior quality up front was the difference. Christian Erikson was Tottenham's best player in their biggest game of the season. With Erikson providing much of the inspiration for Tottenham this season when the young Dane plays well in general Tottenham win. Harry Kane has been the find of the season for Tottenham and has over twenty goals in all competitions, if he continues this form he will be in or around the England squad come 2016. But Tottenham's reliance on Kane has been evident in recent weeks as the young striker has struggled to cope with the pressure. Tottenham must look more to Lamela, Chadli and Dembele as it get to the business end of the season.
Swansea come into this game in terrific form having won three of their last five including a thrilling 2-1 win over Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium. Gary Monk will look to his inform striker Gomis and Ki for the goals to fire Swansea to a victory tonight. Swansea have shown a tough resiliance under Monk this season and could close to within one point of their opponents tonight if they could manage a win. Swansea are defensively sound but have struggled a little on the road this season. Look for the Swans to play a high line and pack the midfield in an attempt to crowd out Erickson.
This one is tough to call. Tottenham have played alot of games recently and have struggled a little failing to win in their last five. While Swansea are the form team this is a tough game for them and Tottenham have been excellent in White Hart Lane where they have not lost since November. I think Swansea though will fancy thier chances of giving them a game here and I am going to take both teams to score.
