Manchester United look to continue their march towards champions league football when they play host to Astonv Illa on Saturday. Aston Villa have won three of their last five and have moved away from the relegation zone thanks to those results. Tim Sherwood will be mindful of the fact that Villa are actually only three points above the relegation zone. Agbonlahor and Benteke are the key to survival for Villa if both can continue to play to a high standard and score goals then Villa are going to have a chance to win games. This is going to be a big ask for Villa though going to Old Trafford to take on a Manchester United team that have been exceptionally good of late.
Louis Van Gaal seems to have found the right balance, Mata, Fellaini and Rooney, that is the key three and with those three playing in the last two games Manchester United have been exceptional. Mata was absolutely brilliant against Liverpool and United will be looking for the little Spaniard to continue to inspire his side. There is more than a little irony about this as it was the failure of Fellaini and Mata last season that probably cost David Moyes his job. Manchester United though have been truly looking for the right balance for about two years now. This is an exceptional squad and if Falcao can bring his international form to the fold then one would have to say that Manchester United should coast to a place in the Champions League and may even fancy their chances of finishing second or third, Chelsea are too far ahead right now but Van Gaal and United fans will be thinking about a proper title challenge next season.
There is no value in taking United at this price but taking the overs seems to be the right play. Manchester United have been in fine goalscoring form at home and to be fair to Aston Villa they have found some goals in recent games despite their struggles all season. I fully expect this one to be a tough game for Manchester United. Aston Villa hvae a fine defence but they are comign up against one of the best offences in the league here and one that hsould be just too good in the end. Benteke and Agbonlahor will give United's defence plenty to think about though so I do expect Villa to get on the scoresheet.
