One of the biggest games of the weekend will see Ipswich town travel to Blackburn to take on Rovers. A point is enough to guarantee Ipswich a spot in the playoffs. The financial implications of making it to the Premier League are somewhere in and aroudn the £40million mark so obviously there will be a few nerves in this Ipswich team tomorrow. Led by former Irish manager Mick McCarthy the tractor boys will be looking to Daryl Murphy to continue his remarkable goal scoring season and find the goals to fire Ipswich into the playoffs and in with a chance of a return to the Premier League.
Blackburn Rovers have nothing to play for here but are unbeaten in five and there is no doubt that Blackburn will not just roll over and let Ipswich have the points. Blackburn at home are a dangerous side and with Gestede and Rhodes up front this is a team that could hurt Ipswich on the counter attack. Blackburn had a disappointing season but to end the season with a win and deny Ipswich a place in the playoffs well that could be and added bonus.
Huge game here, Blackburn games over the last few weeks have been terrific to watch and I think that this one will be no exception. There is no doubt Ipswich are the better team here but the better team dont always win. Both teams to score is the value play here. I think Ipswich will get the point they need to make the playoffs but this one could be a tough watch for Ipswich fans.
