Juventus host Real Madrid on Tuesday in the first leg of their Champions League semi final on Tuesday night. Real Madrid come into this game in strong form having won nine in a row. Real Madrid are havily reliant on star man Cristiano Ronaldo and this was evident again at the weekend when the Portgese superstar scored three in a 3-2 win over Sevilla. Ronaldo also created the goal that Hernandez scored to beat Atletico in the quarter finals. Ronaldo is terrific but he comes up against a Juventus team that dont concede too many , especially at home. With Benzema and Bale still not 100% fit , Javier Hernandez will get another chance to partner Ronaldo up front. This is a terrific squad and Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to give his team a chance to repeat as Champions. Real defensively though will have to be very sharp as they face a Juventus team hungry for success in Europe and with one of the inform strikers on the planet in Tevez.
Tevez was a team mate of Cristiano Ronaldo when the two were at Manchester United and both won a Champions League title with the red devils. Tevez has been the best play in Italy this season and is the key man to Juventus attack, Alvaro Morata will get a chance to prove to Real Madrid that they were wrong to let him leave last summer. With Tevez, Vidal and morata there is plenty of goals in thie Juventus attack and they will be helped by the experience and creativity of Pirlo in midfield. With Juventus though it is always their defence that is the most important aspect Chellini, Bonuci and Buffon are instrumental for Juventus and the addition of Patrice Evra last summer has proven to be a master stroke as the former Manchester United full back has been terrific this season.
Juventus are the rank outsiders for this tournament but for me they are a great value bet. I'm going to take Juve to get a win here against the defending Champions. I think Juventus defence can handle Ronaldo and Tevez will handle Real Madrid's defence. This one should be an absolute cracker.
