The FA Cup final from Wembley stadium in London will see current Champions Arsenal take on Aston Villa in what should be an intriguing match up. Aston Villa barely survived this year in a campaign that started brightly but was derailed mid season and never really recovered. The appointment of Tim Sherwood seems to have saved the Villans and they not only managed to survive but they made it to a Cup final. Sherwood definitely had a hand in the re emergence of Christian Benteke whose goals saved Villa and who's all round play is attracting attention from several of the "bigger" clubs in England with Liverpool reportedly to be at the top of the que. With Fabian Delph, Jack Grealish and Benteke firing on all cylinders Villa will give Arsenal plenty of food for thought in a game that should be tight and competitive.
As the reigning Champions and third place finishers Arsenal come into this game as raging hot favourites. With a quartet of superstars upfront in Giroud, Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla not to mention the inform Theo Walcott it is easy to see why Arsenal are heavy favourites here. Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wislhire will look to dominate the center midfield are but they will have their hands full with the energetic Delph and the skillful Grealish. Arsenal have been one of the best teams in England this year though and they will come into this game in confident mood. While Arsenal finishing in third was a success Arsene Wenger will be looking to add the FA Cup to the trophy cabinet.
The FA Cup always holds a little magic for me and for many soccer fans as the Worlds Oldest cup competition. Aston Villa have not been in good form and really struggled to survive this year but Villa have shown a resiliance in the Cup and put in a terrific performance in beating Liverpool in the semi final. I cant help but feel like a shock is on the cards here, Aston Villa may not win out right but I think they give Arsenal a hell of a game. Going to take both teams to score here as I see this one being entertaining and with the way both set up I think we will see goals.
