Group: B - Costa Rica, Canada, El Salvador & Jamaica
Stars of the 2014 World Cup Costa Rica will come to the Gold Cup in confident form. Captain Bryan Ruiz of Fulham will be looking to continue to pull the strings for Costa Rica with Arsenal's Joel Campbell sure to use his pace in behind defences here. Ramirez will play the focal point up front as he has done in the warm up games for the tournament. Paulo Wanchope's men have struggled in a couple of recent friendlies but these games have been against among the best in the world, with games against Colombia and Spain. Costa Rica only went out of the World Cup on penalties and although they are on the tougher side of the draw the current price of 11/2 about Costa Rica winning the tournament seems big to me.
I like Costa Rica to go all the way but one of the bets of the tournament will be Costa Rica to win the group at 4/6. To me that looks max stakes territory, yes this is a tough group but Costa Rica should have too much for all three teams they face in Group B.
