UCD look to turn over a 1-0 deficit when they take on the highly fancied Slovan Bratislava on Thursday at the UCD Bowl in Dublin. UCD did extremely well in the first game to get away with just a 1-0 loss but they were playing against 10 men for the majority of the game. At the same time UCD have a mostly student based squad and the youngsters were excellent in the game, trying hard and giving their all. UCD's main man will be Ryan Swan who has top scored with ten goals in fifteen games so far this season he also has two goals in three games of Europa League action and if he can net again on Thursday he will be a hero for the Irish side.
Slovan Bratislava have some quality throughout the side and play in a much higher profile league in Slovakia. Former Ipswich and QPR striker Tamas Priskin got his Slovan career off to a good start netting the winner in his first league game for the side. Slovan will come to Dublin expecting to win the tie but after struggling to break down UCD in the home tie there could be some nerves especially if the students could get themselves an early goal.
This is one of those games where Slovan should win, they have the better squad the better players and more experience but this is a shot to nothing for UCD, the game is in Dublin and the UCD side are flying fit and full of youth. I am going to take UCD to shock Europe and get a win here at a massive 10/1. It's a shot to nothing in a game that I think will be alot closer than predicted.
