More action from China on Monday as Internazionale take on Real Madrid at the Tianhe Stadium in Guanzhao. Inter come into this game off the back of a loss to arch rivals Milan in a game that Roberto Mancini started most of his reserves and only introduced his starters in the second half. Inter look likely to improve on their poor season last year when they finished outside the European places. Roberto Mancini has been tasked with rebuilding the club and he has started well by holding onto star man Icardi , there have been quality additions in the off season with Shaqiri, Miranda and Kondogbia coming in to strengthen areas of weakness. Kondogbia in particular was much sought after throughout Europe after his terrific season with Monaco and he should be able to make an immediate impact for Inter. They face a very tough task here though against a quality Real Madrid side.
Rafa Benitez got his first win as Real Madrid manager against Manchester City in their second International Champions Cup game and it was an impressive performance as Real ripped city to shreds winning 4-1 on the day. Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale tormented City for the first half and it could have been even worse such was Real's dominance. This is a side full of quality and with Ronaldo they have one of the two best players on the planet. Isco, Jese and Chereysev are all getting game time to try to stake their claim for a starting spot in this star studded side. Can Real get their domestic and European crowns back from arch rivals Barcelona? It will be tough but this is a seriously talented squad.
Rarely is 1/2 a value bet and therefore I will stay away from Real Madrid straight up here but instead I am going to take Real to lead at half time at 1/1. Real look on paper at least as if they are far stronger and while I expect Inter to be defensively sound I think Real just have too much quality up front and should win this one. I expect another fast start from Real as they did against Manchester City and with Ronaldo/Benzema and Bale , Inter could be in for a long game.
