Clint Irwin has come away with 64 saves and has allowed five goals in his last three matches. Offensively, the Colorado Rapids have scored just 20 goals overall and have scored three goals in their last three matches. The Colorado Rapids could use some better results on the road, as they’re just 1-3-1 in their last five road matches, but are coming off a win over Seattle.

The San Jose Earthquakes could also use a win after losing five of their last six matches. The San Jose Earthquakes have been solid at home as of late, and they’re 2-1-2 in their last five matches in front of their home fans.
The last four matches between these two teams have produced a draw, including their most recent matchup in May. The last time this matchup produced a winner was in 2013 when San Jose won, 1-0. The last five matchups have produced no more than two goals.
This is an interesting matchup between two of the worst teams in the West. It's a complete toss-up. However, San Jose has been solid on its home field and has to have the advantage here. Give me the Earthquakes in a much needed victory.
