, Watford announced their return to the Premier League in style with an impressive performance at Goodison Park last weekend in fact the Premier League's new boys were within minutes of a victory against the Toffees. Watford have added some quality and experience in the off season and Capoue, Behrami and Berghuis will be expected to deliver immediately. Behrami and Capoue already have great experiencein this league and Watford will look to that experience to help them through what will no doubt be a tough season. Deeney and Ighalo have alot of pressure on them to score the goals that will fire Watford to safety but the addition of Berghuis who netted eleven goals in ninteen appearances for AZ last season will help. Watford fans will know the importance of their home results this season so expect the Vicarage Road crowd to be loud tomorrow.
West Brom had a terrible start to the season as they succumbed to Manchester City and put in a terrible performance at home. West Brom manager Tony Pulis has alot to work on but the main problem for the baggies was up front where they looked really poor last Monday. The addition of Rondon from Zenit should addres that problem with the forward arriving at West Brom because of a chance phone call from Tony Pulis to Andre Villa Boas and the meddling of Vladimir Putin with the Russian league where they now have restrictions on foreign players. Rondon is a quality signing and one that could add a significant edge to a West Brom team that already have one of the more tactically astute managers and a number of experienced players like former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.
This one looks a really good match up on paper. I think that Watford have hit the ground running in the league and they will need to continue that momentum such is the cut and thrust of the Premier League but I also think they face a West Brom team that are sore at how poorly they played on Monday. Pulis will get a reaction from his side on Saturday guaranteed and I think taking West Brom on the handicap here looks a smart move. I think West Brom may even get the outright win but getting a goal head start with the experienced side who know how to get results in this league looks a smart move to me, in fact this is one of my strongest bets of the weekend.
