The Line: Manchester United 1/3 Draw 5/1 Club Brugge 10/1 See the Latest Odds

The Champions League last stage of qualifying is upon us and Premier League giants Manchester United will play Club Bruge for a place in the Group Stages, can Louis Van Gaal's men continue their impressive start to the season with a win over the Belgians or will Club Brugge cause a massive shock in Europe's Elite Competition?

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has got his team playing efficient football at the moment, the ball is on the ground and while there has been a struggle for goals they have been excellent defensively and look very hard to beat. With two 1-0 wins on their season thus far the Red Devils will be looking for slightly more goals when they face Brugge as really they need more than a slender lead going to Belgium for what could be a tricky game. Thus far captain Wayne Rooney has played a central role with the two wins and is the main man for the team at the moment, new signing Memphis Depay has also been very impressive and Juan Mata picked up where he left off last season creating goals and being the fulcrum of almost every United attack. With Sneiderlein and Schweinsteiger settling in this is an exciting time to be a Manchester United fan and player and I think the future looks extremely bright both in the short and long term. But they must negotiate this tricky fixture first and get themselves into the Champions League proper.

Manchester United vs Club Brugge 08/18/2015 UEFA Champions League Preview & Prediction

With Club Brugge four games into their domestic season and having already negotiated a tricky tie against Panathinaikos one thing can be sure of is that Brugge will be ready for the tough challenge of going to Old Trafford and taking on Manchester United. Brugge have a quality set up and are bringing through and abundance of young players. Their current top scorer Dierckx came in to the club in February from  fellow Belgium league side Kortrjik and the twenty year old has been impressive this season scoring a late winner against his former employers at the weekend. Bruge have a young side and will be looking to keep this tie competitive and tight in this first leg at Old Trafford. If Brugge can get an away goal and keep this one alive for the home leg I think that would be seen as a major success.

Unfortunately though for Club Brugge I think the vast gap in resources between the two sides here are likely to expose the difference in quality and I think Manchester United will be far too strong. Manchester United need to assert themselves early here and I think they will, they've scored early in both league games so far this year and are available at evens to lead at halftime, I think United will get it done early and I also think that they will be looking to get a few goals here so this one should be worth watching.
