The early kickoff on Saturday will see Newcastle United travel to Manchester to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford. Newcastle are coming into this game off the back of a poor performance against Swansea in which Newcastle had a man sent off after forty one minutes. Steve McLaren's time in charge of Newcastle has gotten off to a slow start and the Magpies really need to turn the corner or they are going to get themselves into trouble. Papa Cisse is the key man for Newcastle and he is their main goalscorer and key man up front, Cisse has had a good record against the top teams and has scored some great goals agains the top teams , like his double against Chelsea two years ago. With Cisse, Sissokho and Mitirovic this is a team that can cause problems for any team on their day but a trip to Old Trafford is going to be tough.
Manchester United come into this game off the back of a good performance midweek against Bruge, Memphis Depay announced himself to the world with two terrific goals midweek but the young dutch man can be the key to United's season. With Wayne Rooney struggling to score goals this season Manchester United have been looking elsewhere for the inspiration and Juan Mata , Depay and young Belgian winger Januzai have been the key men going forward for United. The impressive thing has been their defending this year though with the back four looking solid and Schniederlein sitting in front of them this is going to be a tough unit to break down. Whats been so impressive has been the way Sergio Romero has come in and replaced United's two time play of the year David De Gea without missing a heartbeat. Louis Van Gaal has a terrific squad here , he probably needs to add a striker but this is a team that can compete.
Going straight out for Manchester United -1 on the handicap here. I think the Reds found a different gear midweek and I expect them to roll over Newcastle on Saturday morning and I have a feeling that Wayne Rooney could be on the scoresheet a couple of times against a team he just loves scoring against.
