Liverpool look to move back up the table after a couple of disappointing results seen them lose to West Ham and Manchester United. The reds hould be helped by the return from suspension of Philip Couthino, in addition Brendan Rodgers took the liberty of resting alot of his starters for their midweek Europa League game so Benteke, Milner should be fresh and ready for the challenge of Norwich City. Anfield will expect on Sunday and if Brendan Rodgers team fails to get a win here I think the Liverpool manager is going to feel the heat as his job is maybe not on the line but definitely under pressure. Liverpool have a solid squad but their defensive frailties were evident in their last two games and until Rodgers fixes that I think the Red are going to struggle to win games even at home where there is no doubt they have a twelfth man with them in a passionate home crowd.
Norwich City were excellent last time out and they destroyed Premier League new boys Bournemouth with Irish internation Wes Hoolahan in the middle of everything good that the Canaries did. If Norwich can get Hoolahan on the ball he can unluck almost any defence, his vision is second to none and he has that pace needed over ten to fifteen yards to get away from people and create chances. Manager Alex Neil is among the youngest in the league and he is doing an excellent job with Norwich on a shoestring budget, having brought Norwich up from the Championship last season he will be keen to keep them in the Premier League and while he wont be fired for losing big games like this one against top opposition I think Neil has the tactical know hw to make this one difficult for Liverpool. Cameron Jerome will make the Liverpool back four work hard and the Norwich midfield will keep them on their toes, harrassing the reds midfield when not in possession and pressing high up the field.
Liverpool are favourites here but I'm not sure the bookmakers have this one right, while Liverpool have the bigger and more talented squad Norwich City are playing some good football right now and Liverpool did have at least half their starters out in the Europa League on Thursday night. I'm going to take Norwich City + on the handicap as I think the Canaries frustrate the home team here and leave Liverpool with something from this game.
