Slovakia look to confirm their place in Euro2016 with a win against Belarus on Friday evening. If Slovakia win then they will be in the draw for Euro2016 and will relegate the Ukraine to a playoff place. Led by Liverpool center half Martin Skertel and Napoli's playmaking attacker Hamsik this is a team that beat Spain in qualifying and have been excellent since the opening games. Struggling a little against Spain last time out has left them two points behind the 2010 World Champions. But Slovakia should be heavy favourites here and with their last game against Luxembourg one has to think that they will pick up the three points needed to qualify in one of these two games.
Belarus come into this game having struggled to beat Luxembourg, not a great preparation for facing one of the top two in the Group. There are a number of good players in the Belarus squad including former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Hleb, but the star man is undoubtedly BATE striker Gordechuk but he has struggled to find his scoring boots this year with just one goals in sixteen appearances. Belarus though are out matched here and I think it is going to be difficult for them to stay with a driven Slovakia team.
Taking Slovakia -1 here, I think the team will want to get the win out of the way and guarantee themselves qualification before they go to Luxembourg for what should be a formality win. This is a team that is going to fancy their chances in the Euro's and I think they book their ticket tonight.
