Brazil will be looking to bounce back after a 2-0 loss to Chile on Thursday while Venezuela look to right the ship after they went down 1-0 to Paraguay. Brazil are still missing star man Neymar as he completes his three game suspension picked up for a straight red in the Copa America. Without Neymar this Brazilian side look decidedly average, their build up play seems slow and cumbersome and overall they struggle to create chances. Hulk, Willian and Oscar were on the periphery of the game against Chile as the opposition dominated possession and made Brazil look very average.
Venezuela on the other hand lost a game against Paraguay in which they had just as much possession and created twice as many chances. West Brom's record signing Rondon couldnt find a way past a mean defence but overall Venezuela will have been very disappointed not to have taken at least one of the twelve chances they created. Venezuela obviously face a much tougher taks here against Brazil and will adjust tactically accordingly going with a 4-5-1 rather than their 4-4-2 that they went with last week. Rondon is a good target man he can hold up the play and bring others into the game but Venezuela must be more clinical if they are to have any chance here.
I think that we will see a very defence minded game here. No way Dunga wants to lose a second game, if he does I think the Brazil coach is likely to lose his job but I also think that his attacking options are limited. Neymar is without doubt Brazil's star and without him they just dont have the same creativity. Oscar and Willian are more busy work horse than creative genius and Hulk is the soccer playing equivalent of a bull dozer. I think Brazil win here but in a low scoring affair. Taking the unders here in what could be a 1-0 to Brazil.
