With action from the Ethiad on Wednesday we will see Manchester City take on Crystal Palace in what should be a really good encounter. Manchester City stole a 1-0 win against Palace earlier in the season when they scored a last minute winner in a cracking game at Selhurst Park. Manuel Pelligrini's side come into this game without David Villa and Sergio Aguero though and also struggled offensively against their great rivals Manchester United last weekend. Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling will be key figures for City on Wednesday although there is a chance that Pelligrini rests the pair to keep them fresh for their important league and champions league games which are coming up over the next couple of weeks. Wilfred Bony will be the fulcrum through the center and the former Swansea striker is a key component of City's attack now that Aguero is injured, can he find the goals to fire Manchester City to the next round?
With Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace losing a nail biter to Leicester at the weekend the Eagles will be looking for some bounce back agaisnt the League leaders in Manchester. Crystal Palace had a good start to the season but have lost four of their last seven and the losses to West Ham and Leicester over the last couple of weeks were disappointing. Alan Pardew has a good team here led by Cabaye through the center and with Puncheon, Zaha, Gayle, Campbell and Bolaise there is alot of attacking talent in the squad. There is no doubt that Palace will fancy their chances of going to Manchester and getting a result against a short handed Manchester City but I would like to see Pardew put out and attack minded team and go for it.
Taking Crystal Palace on the handicap here +2 is just too big a handicap for a game like this and I think Crystal Palace will give Manchester City a really good game here. City struggled creatively against Manchester United at the weekend and Crystal Palace are very solid defensively.
