Monday night football live from White Hart Lane will see Tottenham Hotspur take on the bottom team in the league. Manuel Pcohettino's side will be looking to move to fifth in th table above West Ham and within a point of Manchester United and the Champions League places. Spurs have been very difficult to beat this season and actually have not lost a game since that opening weekend loss to Manchester United. Harry Kane finally came to life last weekend when netting a hat trick against another struggling team , Bournemouth. Kane will get another chance against a poor defensive side on Monda night when he faces the bottom team in the league in Aston Villa.
Villa sacked manager Tim Sherwood after another loss against Swansea and the Villans have now lost five in a row and seven in their last eight in all competitions. Aston Villa are one of the teams that failed to address the problems they had during the summer. Scoring goals was always going to be a major problem for Villa after they sold Christian Benteke but the addition of Gestede and Ayew have not really been able to address this problem. Aston Villa are staying competitive in most games due to a solid defence but thir lack of offence has been killing them. There is young talent in this side with Jack Grealish, Ayew and Bacuna but Kevin McDonald is going to have to get the team to believe they can compete at this level before they win games against sides like Tottenham. Monday night football would be a good place to get Villa's second win of the season.
Tough game for Villa and their interm manager here. I like Tottenham to get the win here and cover the handicap, Kane, Erikson, Lamela will provide the attacking threat here and they should be able to take advantage of a Villa defence that might just struggle to contain Tottenham's talented midfield. White Hart Lane should be rocking for this one and if Tottenham get an early goal this one could get out of hand.
