Action from Group B will see PSV host Wolfsburg with the dutch side looking for a win to bring them level on points with Wolfsburg and give themselves a good chance of progressing to the knockout stages. Philip Cocu's side played well in Germany without being able to take their chances. DE Jong and Narsing will have to be more clinical in front of goal if PSV are to progress but the dutch side have already shown how good they are at home by beating Manchester United at home earlier in the Group Stage.
Wolfsburg come into this game having won four of their last five with their only loss a DFB Cup loss to Bayern Munich. Andre Schurrle, Dost, Draxler and Kruse are the key men in an attack that scores plenty of goals. In the reverse fixture early second half goals by Dost and Kruse were enough to get the win for Wolfsburg. This is a talented team with quality players but the Champions League is the toughest competition in Europe and these away games are tough. This is Wolfsburg first trip into the competition since 2009 so the majority of the players here will not have experienced this level of competitive midweek action. It takes getting used to.
This round of games are make or break games for alot of teams in terms of their chances to qualify for the knockout stages. PSV are underdogs here but havent lost a competitive home game at the Phillips Stadium since losing to Ajax back in March. Philip Cocu has his side well drilled and playing good football, they will not fear Wolfsburg here who have been up and down this season and who have actually only won once away from home in their domestic league this season and have lost three of their last four away games in all competitions. I'm takign PSV +1 on the handicap and will be tempted into having a little on PSV outright.
