On Wednesday we get the rematch of one of the games of the tournament so far with Roma now the hosts to Bayer Leverkusen. In the first game we were treated to a 4-4 thriller as Bayer Leverkusen jumped out to a 2-0 lead before going 4-2 behind only to come back and score two late goals to level the game. That was an absolute cracker of a game and if the rematch on Wednesday night is even half as good we will have had a great game. Bayer Leverkusen are a team in form but one with some serious defensive frailtie conceding eight goals in their last four games. This is a side though that has an abundance of talent up front and Kiebling, Calhanoglu will play a key role in supporting Javier Hernandez who has become their main striker since signing from Manchester United in the off season. Hernandez is a goal poacher and has six goals in his last four games for his new club. Exactly what Leverkusen needed and were hoping they would get and something that Manchester United are perhaps missing right now.
Roma lost at the weekend to Inter Milan, a loss that seen them drop off the top of Serie A and one that was disappointing for Roma fans and players a game which they dominated without being able to score. Gervinho and Dzeko struggled against Inter's solid defence but will be looking forward to facing a porous Bayer Leverkusen defence. Mohamad Salah has been the signing of the season for Roma thus far as the on loan Chelsea winger has five in ten in the league and has been sensational. Roma have a really good team and one that is looking to compete on numerous fronts. Rudi Garcia will be expecting his side to go out and get a win here at home but this is going to be a tough game.
Taking the overs here, impossible not to at 8/13 the odds are short but these two look like they have loads of goals in them and of course we just had a 4-4 draw between the two only two weeks ago. Over 3.5 goals is available at 13/8 so those brave enough could plump for that one, I'm going to take the over 3.5 goals as I see this one having 4 or more. With Hernandez, Dzeko, Kiebling, Gervinho and Salah we should have more than enough attcking talent to get this over the line.
