Midweek soccer is back in full flight this week and the UEFA Champions’ League group stage is now past the half way stage. Each team has played each other once before and the standings are really starting to shape up. This preview is going to look at a big match that will take place on Wednesday where Arsenal travel to Germany to face Bayern Munch.

This game is very important for Arsenal as they need to get at least a point out of this match so they can keep their hopes of qualifying to the round of 16 alive. Arsenal started the Champions’ League campaign terribly with the losses to teams they should not have in the first two matches. Since then it has been a turn in form, beating Bayern at home a few weeks back. The English side will take confidence from that win as they head into this encounter. As the team line up goes, Arsenal will be without Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain who are out injured. This news was a big blow to the gunners since these two players were in great form and they will be missed.

On the other side of the coin, Bayen Munich are all but guaranteed a spot in the Round of 16 and top spot is almost secure. Having said that, this team is a team that wants to win every game and after losing away to Arsenal a few weeks back, they will want to prove a point. This team is full of superstar and the likes of Douglas Costa and Thomas Muller have been exceptional lately. A few players are missing such as Frank Ribery but they have been out for a while now and the team has adjusted well so the team facing Arsenal will be a very settled one.

I think that Bayern Munch will win this match. They are a good team and have been in good form. There at home and this is a big advantage to the Germans as the Allianz Arena has become a fortress for them in recent years. In addition to this I think that the injuries to Arsenal’s lineup will cause them to be not as strong as they were in the previous game between the teams. I think that the odds we are getting for Bayern Munch are good and that putting money on them to win is a good and relatively safe bet.
