On Friday night Belgium will host Italy in Brussels in what should be an entertaining International game between two of Europe's best teams. Antonio Conte's side will be missing a couple of key performers due to injury and age but will still field a very strong side that will be looking to test themselves against the up and coming Belgium side that have just taken over as FIFA's number 1 ranked team on the planet. Italy will pair one of Eder, Zaza and Pelle up top with the Southampton man probably favourite to start given his excellent recent club form and his good goalscoring record since coming into the Italy fold. A strong midfield and defence led by Italian and Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon will look to take on the youth and exuberance of Belgium's talented team.
Marc Wilmots is missing a couple of players himself but has a very strong panel with the returning Christian Benteke finally over his injury problems the Liverpool striker is likely to feature at some stage but his cross city club rival Lukaku is likely to get the start. Eden Hazard is the most talented player in both squads and the Chelsea midfielder has looked lively in recent performances as he looks to come back to the sort of form that had him finish as PFA player of the year last year. With Hazard, Dembele, Witsel, De Bruyne and Mertens there is a serious strength in depth in this Belgium team. Belgium actually have depth throughout the squad and their defence looks at least on paper among the best in the world with Manchester City's Kompany, Barcelona's Vermalen and Tottenham duo Alderweireld and Vertonghen.
Great match up here and one that should be well worth watching. I'll be tuning in to see FIFA's new number 1, well I will be flicking the channels as I keep an eye on a number of quality games. For me though this one looks likely to finish a draw and I think both teams will be happy enough with that. While Belgium are an up and coming side that will be among the favourites for Euro2016 the Italians know how to get a result and I will be very surprised if the Italians are beaten here.
