Everton look to move back up the table when they take on bottom side Aston Villa on Saturday. Villa had a good performance last time out under new manager Remi Garde, they held the runnaway leaders Manchester City scoreless and took a point from a game many expected them to get tanked in. Garde has a tough job on his hands to move this team out of the relegation zone, they dont look like a team that possess' enough attacking talent to get themselves out of the trouble they are in. Jordan Ayew, Rudi Gested and Agbonlahor will have to provide the spark and the goals for the Villans but they do possess a solid midfield and good defence with an excellent goalkeeper in American international Brad Guzan. This will be a tough task for Villa but I expect them to set up similar to the Manchester City game pack the midfield and use their pace on the wings on the counter attack.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be hoping for another solid performance from his side at home. Lukaku, Kone and Naismith have been excellent over their recent games and Kone and Lukaku look like a good partnership in recent weeks. Republic of Ireland pair Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy will be key for Everton and both were excellent for Ireland last Monday in the Euro2016 playoff. With a strong side and home advantage it's hard to look past Everton in this game. The Toffee's have had no problems dealing with the teams in the bottom half of the league this year with wins against Chelsea and Sunderland , they have struggled a little against the top sides with losses to both Manchester Clubs and a draw with Liverpool.
I think this one goes as a home win, Everton look to have too much firepower for Aston Villa in my opinion. While Villa no doubt did show great fight and grit against Manchester City that was in Birmingham and the fans did lift the team.In Everton on Saturday I feel like Remi Garde is going to get a real look at the job at hand, I'm taking Everton -1 here.
