One of the games of the weekend in Ligue 1 will take place on Friday night as Nice host PSG at the Allianz Riviera in Nice. Nice are one of the surprise packages of the French League this year, inspired by former Lyon, Marseille and Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa, the Eaglets will look to upset the as yet unbeaten Champions PSG. Ben Arfa and Germain have managed thirteen goals between them this season and Nice have played some really good football in recent weeks beating Marseille 3-0 and Lyon away. Nice are definitely unpredictable as they have lost three games at home this season and two of those losses were to teams in the bottom half of the table.
PSG come into this game off a 0-0 draw midweek in a game which they did not play very well. Ibrahimovic didnt start and without the big Swede PSG were a little lacking up front. Cavani, Di Maria and Matuidi all started but were unable to break down a resolute Angers defence. PSG have had a sensational start to the season and are already thirteen points clear in the league which has allowed Blanc to rest some of his stars like the midweek game. PSG could be a real threat to the Champions League given that their domestic league is pretty uncompetitive and they have such a huge advantage over their rivals.
Still this game will be a tough one for PSG. I like how Nice have played so far this season and there is no doubt that the Nice players will raise their game for this one and I think the likes of Ben Arfa , Germain can definitely hurt PSG on the counter. While I wouldnt be against taking Nice on the outright I think it's better to take the home side with the handicap here. Nice +1 is almost 2/1 and I think that the home side should at least cover this but could win this one outright.
