The late evening game on Saturday comes from Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will host a Bournemouth team that have scored five goals in their last two games and will be looking for their first win in the league since beating Sunderland in September. Bournemouth have had a terrible run and were in free fall down the table now sitting in eighteenth Bournemouth need some results to get out of the relegation zone. Eddie Howes side do not lack fight and they give 100% in every game but with the injuries to Gradel and Wilson they do lack a goalscorer and when you have the worst defence in the league you need a goal getter. The team simply need to defend better conceding thirty goals in fourteen games is a recipe for demotion and Howe knows this. They face a Chelsea team though that are also struggling for goals and tomorrow could be a surprising opportunity for Bournemouth to sneak some points away from home.
Chelsea come into this game unbeaten in three thats their second longest unbeaten streak of the season and this is why the blues are in fourteenth in the league table. Jose Mourinho has struggled to get the balance right and last week's experiment of playing Eden Hazard through the centre didnt seem to work any better. Diego Costa needs to play if Chelsea are going to win though in my opinion. Chelsea need to get Fabregas, Willian, Hazard and Costa on the field at the same time to be the team that won the league last season. Given how up and down the league has been this year a five or six game win streak could easily see Chelsea up into the top six and then who knows. This is still the team that won the league last season and I still expect a kick from them especially with a really busy period coming up.
I'm taking the overs in the game here. While goals have been a scare commodity in Chelsea this season they face the worst defence in the league here and they are at home. I think that the blues will start firing this weekend and that could be a bad thing for Bournemouth.
