Norwich City will host Manchester City in the third round of the FA Cup with both teams coming in hot. Norwich have won three of their last five and were very impressive when playing Manchester City a couple of months ago losing at the Ethiad 2-1 with a last minute penalty for Manchester City. At that time Manchester City were in their best run of form this season so Norwich playing so well in that game is indicative of a team who knows how to play against Manchester City. Norwich were in the midst of their worst run of form of the season as well at that time. Norwich will look to Cameron Jerome, Wes Hoolohan, Robbie Brady and Nathan Redmond to take the game to Manchester City on the counter attack. This is going to be a great game I think and I expect Carrow Road to be full.
With Manchester City pulling out a miracle win against Watford last weekend, they followed it up with a loss midweek in the League Cup to Everton but Manchester City have had a tough run of fixtures and a packed schedule coming up with some tough games could see Manuel Pelligrini rest some players here. I expect Aguero to stay on the bench tomorrow and Bony to start either side of Sterling and De Bruyne, I think that Ya Ya Toure also gets a rest and for this reason Norwich City look an appealing bet at the current prices
Taking Norwich City +1 here on the handicap, I think that there is no doubt in the Canaries being a value bet at 4/1 but the safer and more solid value bet is to take Norwich with the handicap headstart. Of course this depends on City resting Aguero and Toure, if both start I make this a 1 unit bet but if they are rested like I think they will be then the handicap is at a minimum 3 unit bet maybe bigger.
