The game of the weekend in the Premier League will see the league's two biggest rivals go head to head as Manchester United travel to Anfield to take on a new look Liverpool. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a repeat performance from his side after they produced a gem offensively against Arsenal midweek . Firminho finally got his first Anfield goal and followed it up quickly with his second. While Liverpool were definitely impressive going forward on Wednesday they were truly terrible defensively. Klopp is going to hav to address the defence before this team is going to be able to make a proper title challenge but on Sunday the reds face their greatest rivals Manchester United in what is always a tough game. Klopp is an emotional manager and will no doubt go all out to get a win that would endear him to the fans. With Henderson, Firminho, Milner and Caan there will be plenty of aggression along with skill on display here but the question wil lbe can Liverpool's defence keep out a rejuvenated Manchester United attack.
Louis Van Gaal will look to his captian Wayne Rooney to lead the way in this six pointer. Anthony Martial though is the key man for United, when the young frenchman is in full flight then Manchester United are at their most dangerous. Memphis Depay has made progress in recent weeks and United have seen an uptick in offence with his improvement. With Mata, Young, Depay all supporting the front two of Rooney and Martial this is a side that looks likely to challenge for the top four but they absolutely need to win games like this one to give themselves a real chance for Champions League football next season.
This one is one of the biggest games of the Premier League calender and with just three points between the two teams at the moment this is a really great match up. Liverpool have been so jekyl and hyde this season that it's tough to take them as favourites here. Manchester United while they have also struggled at times they have in general been very tough to beat this season. David De Gea is probably the best goalkeeer in the world right now and he could be the difference between the teams tomorrow. I think United match up well here and given the odds they seem like the better bet. I see this one as a coinflip game so getting 5/2 on United just looks too good to pass up. My gut says Wayne Rooney will end up the match winner here in a game where he takes the most abuse all year, as he in from Liverpool and a former Everton player.
