Sunderland ome into this game in need of a win that could see them league frog Newcastle in the table and bring them within three points of tomorrow's opponents bournemouth. Jermain Defoe has found his shooting boots just in time as Sunderland look likely to be battling against relegation for the rest of the season. Luckily for the black cats they have a manager in Sam Allardyce who know what it takes to stay up and will be insisting on some movesin in the January window to try to bolster this squad. Dick Advocaat commentated earlier in the year that Sunderland's borad had promised recruits but it never happened and Advocaat ended up leaving by mutual consent after a terrible start to the season. Allardyce is still trying to get his team out of that slump and until now they just havent looked likely. But with two wins in their last four Sunderland have given themselves hope.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has brought in some much needed help up front with Afobe and Iturbe coming in already. Afobe found the net last week and the former Wolves strikers looks like he will fit in at the Vitality stadium. Harry Arther, Matt Richie, King and Murray will still need to provide the attacking inspiration and the club that reached the promised land last season will be looking to consolidate and stay in the Premier League with the big boys . Bournmouth need to continue to pick up points against their relegation rivals, as they have been doing and this is another game that is a theoretical six pointer.
While Bournemouth have definitely had the better of it lately I cant pass up Sunderland in this spot. The Black Cats have players like Cattermole, Larsson and Defoe that have the experience and know how to win big games like this. Also Sam Allardyce has been a magician in avoiding relegation over the years and obviously knows a thing or two about the relegation battle. At 2/1 here Sunderland look the quality value bet.
