Everton take on Manchester City in the second semi-final of the Capital One Cup. This is a game that should be great to watch since Manchester City have to win after losing the first leg at Goodison Park 2-1. Everton will know that a draw is enough but will also be aware that they conceded an away goal so that might also be in the back of their mind since if Manchester City win 1-0, they will be eliminated.
Everton have been very up and down this season and that way shown as they lost to Swansea in the EPL. This was a game they should have won but didn’t and this kind of performance has become way to regular. The Toffies will want to make a good comeback from that and this will be a perfect chance for that. Having said that, they will be happy with a draw so it will be interesting to see how they approach this game.
On the other side of the coin I think that Manchester City will want to win since this is a tournament which they are very close to winning. This side has a lot of depth so perhaps the top team might not be playing but I think that they might still be good enough to win 1-0.
As far as betting is concerned, there is a lot of value in this game since the bookmakers don’t think that Manchester City will qualify due to the fact that they lost the first leg. I think that City will win at home and we are getting a good enough price to put money on it so I will definitely be placing this bet. Also, this is a knockout game so perhaps it will be low scoring since both sides will be playing tightly so a 1-0 or 2-0 score line is what I am expecting. As a resulting betting on the under 2.5 goals is also a good play in my opinion.
