The late evening FA Cup clash between Liverpool and West Ham United should be an absolute barn stormer. Liverpool fresh off qualification for the Capital One Cup final will be full of confidence and Jurgen Klopp will be looking for another run in a cup to garner more confidence for the reds before the business end of the Championship really kicks off. Milner, Henderson, Firminho and Benteke will take the game to a West Ham team that have already done the double over Liverpool this season. Liverpool are a team that is very difficult to predict in recent weeks, they produce amazing wins at Norwich and Stoke(cup) only to fall flat at home against Manchester United and Stoke midweek (cup).
West Ham have had some injuries this year but with Payet and Valencia fit again the hammers have quality players up top and they will most definitely be tough to beat in this game. Slaven Bilic has come in and made sure his team is tough to beat with the Hammers defence being among the best in the league this season especially over the last fifteen or so games where they have conceded just less than a goal a game. With James Collins in the backline and Song Noble and Kouyate sitting in front this is a team that are very tough to break down.
I've looked at this one a number of times and I really like West Ham straight up at 3/1 but getting a goal headstart and almost evens looks the value bet so that's where I am going. Probably leaving some value on the moneyline as I wouldnt be surprised if the public pile onto Liverpool before the off. Still taking a goal headstart with the more consistant team always sounds a winner to me.
