High flying Leicester City will host Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night with Leicester top of the table by three points. Pre Season this would have been unthinkable, one that Leicester were above Liverpool but for the foxes to be three clear of everyone in the league it just wasnt possible. But it is a reality right now, Leicester City are top of the table and they arent going anywhere without a fight. Vardy, Mahrez have been the hero's so far this season and have been receiving the plaudits in the media but Okazaki, Ulloa, Albrighton and Kante have been the unsung hero's of the squad with the hard work ethic that has become a staple of Leicester City football club. Clauio Ranieri has done a remarkable job here, this squad more or less the same squad was bottom of the Premier League last season and was fighting relegation. Right now Leicester City are living the dream at the top of the Premier League table and a win here will keep the at least three points clear at the top.
Liverpool come into this game after a lacklustre home performance against West Ham in the FA Cup. Liverpool have struggled for consistancy this season and again struggled at the weekend to break down a good defence. Jurgen Klopp has his work cut out in turning things around for the Reds. This game on paper at least should be winnable for Liverpool but at the moment there is a significant gap between the teams in both confidence and performance. Liverpool's big summer signings Benteke and Firminho have struggled to score alot of goals and between them they have managed just eleven goals. There is no doubt that Daniel Sturridge is missed and that Milner, Henderson and the Liverpool midfield have taken time to settle together but Klopp has made sure that the team works hard and the former Borussia Dortmund boss has had some good results and Liverpool have qualified for the League Cup Final.
I'm going to take the home team here, having looked at the results through the year it's tough to reason why Leicester are 6/4 here. This seems like a case of the bookmakers over valuing Liverpool's ability and personally I would have made leicester at least 9/10 favourites, the value we are getting here seems excessive and I am going to take Leicester to get another unexpected win here.
