The game of the weekend in the Premier League will see Arsenal try to close the gap on Leicester City as the two face off on Sunday at the Emirates stadium. Arsenal really come into this game needing a win but at worst they cant afford to lose this one. Arsene Wenger made some quips about welcoming Leicester to the title race midweek, well if Leicester win tomorrow they may just end Arsenal's interest in the title. Arsenal are going to take the game to Leicester and Wenger will look to Sanchez, Ramsey , Ozil and Giroud to lead the Gunners to victory. Petr Cech though may be the most important player for Arsenal , he will need to play on his toes as Leicester will look to release the pacey Vardy behind the Arsenal back four and Cech must limit the space available. Arsenal fans will be nervous tomorrow, while Leicester City have been treatedas outsiders all season if the Foxes get something from tomorrows game then they will genuinely be favourites for the title.
Leicester City play the same sort ofset up in most games. Ranieri sets them up with a 4-5-1 away from home using Okazaki's work rate and Mahrez creativity to spring Vardy. Leicester often give up possession and have won games all season with the least amount of possession all season. Leicester City have been such a revelation this season it's a wonder that more teams havent tried to copy their blueprint. Ranieri has kept things simple, work hard, press the opposition when not in possession and counter attack with pace and direction. Jamie Vardy has been sensational and leads the topscorer charts with eighteen goals, Vardy's pace and power have seen him produce a career year and he has just signed a new long term contract . For a player playing non league football four years ago it is a tremendous achievement and almost asbig afairytale asLeicester City's season.
Obviously given the prices the Oddsmakers are expecting Arsenal to roll Leicester here and considering that Arsenal beat Leicester 5-2 earlier in the season it is possible that the Gunners could close the gap tomorrow. For me though Leicester City +1 on the handicap looks a really great bet and one I cant pass up. Take Leicester City +1.
