Early morning action in the Championship on Saturday will see Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Cardiff City with a chance to draw level with Hull CIty at the top of the table. Brighton are on an excellent run of form at the moment unbeaten in five with four wins across that period and a very good result at Hull midweek to give the team a confidence boost heading into the run for th title. Chris Hughton's side while not fancied have continued to chip away, they dropped off the pace in December but have bounced back well and are now well in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League. With Zamora, Wilson, Kayal and Hemed there are goals spread across the attacking talent and this is very much a team with no superstar leading the way. Brighton work very hard for each other and will not be found wanting for effort on a match day, Hughton is a good coach and I expect this team to be right there to the final day.

Cardiff City come into this game themselves in good form with just one loss in their last five. In fact Cardiff have lost just once at home this season to high flying Hull City. Cardiff are a very tough team to beat but goals have been a struggle this season and across the squad there doesnt seem to be many goal threats in the team. With Mason and Jones leaving in the transfer window that was 1/3 of the league goals gone with two players. Pilkington, Ameobi and Macheda will be looked to for the goals to keep Cardiff competitive , the thing is though a win here for Cardiff and they will be just two points outside the Playoff spots. Thats a big carrot to be dangling for any club.

I have to say I think that Brighton bouncing back has been great to watch and I am delighted for Chris Hughton, I like what Hughton is doing there but I think his side being favoured in this game is a bit crazy. Cardiff are good at home, very very tough to beat and while they have lost some attacking edge they are good defensively and will not be easy to beat here. I'm going to take the draw in what looks like a really good match up with both teams very even on paper at least.
