Atletico Madrid travel to Holland looking for a win that would give them and advantage heading into a second leg in Madrid Atletico are one of the dark horses for the tournament that I think could possibly be under the radar right now and worth taking a punt on. Atletico have a fantastic defence led by Diego Godin and with manager Diego Simeone a quality manager this is a team that is going to be very tough to knock out over two legs. If there is a weakness in this squad it is probably up front but Greizmann, Torres, Vietto and Koke can provide a goal threat and Greizmann while not an out and out striker is having a good season and has twelve goals this season. Simeone may set up to play on the counter attack here as they have done so successfully over the last couple of year.
PSV were the surprise package in their group knocking out Manchester United and could be a tricky oppenent in the last sixteen , while there is no doubt that Philip Cocu's side had some luck along the way they definitely deserved to progress from the group and will look to leading scorer Luk De Jong to lead the way againt a tough Atletico defence. The january signing of Van Ginkel also seems to have been a sound decision and the Chelsea youngster is a quality attacking midfielder that brings something different to PSV who are leading the Eredivise by a solitary point.
This one could be a tight tactical battle and I dont see many goals in it. Atletico have probably the best defence left in the competition and I am going to take the unders here in what should be an intriguing game. Atletico may nick this one 1-0 for those looking for a side but for me the unders looks a really solid play.
