With Manchester City bound to be hurting from the 3-0 drubbing they took at the hands of Liverpool midweek the League Cup Champions will eb looking to bounce back against bottomw team Aston Villa. Manchester City have a quality side but they have struggled for consistancy this season especially on the road, City return to the Ethiad on Saturday though and will eb expected to comfortably account for Aston Villa in the afternoon kickoff. Manchester City will look to Aguero, Toure, Kompany and Sterling to lead the way as they face a very poor Aston Villa team. Aguero and Toure have consistantly stepped up to the mark for Manchester City over the years and I see this one being so important to Manchester City's season that Manuel Pelligrini's focus will go no further than this game. Look for Manchester City to try to put this one to bed early and I think that Manchester City's firepower could really blow Aston Villa away.
At the moment Villa look like a team that are already relegated. Aston Villa have won one game away from home all season ad that was the opening weekend against Bournemouth. Villa's squad is too weak to be able to pull this out of the fire too. Aston Villa will be playing in the Championship next season but the question is can Aston Villa gain some sort of pride back over the next ten games. I think this is not a good game for building pride though. Gestede, Ayew and Agbonlahor will look to hold up the ball and take the game to City but the reality is this is going to be a rearguard action for most of the 90 minutes. Villa did manage to hold Manchester City in Villa Park a couple of months ago in Remi Garde's first home game in charge. That though was against a Manchester City team that struggle away from home. At the Ethiad this is going to be completely different.
I am taking Manchester City to win this game comfortably, going to take Manchester City -2 on the handicap and I think they might win this game by four , five or six. In Fact 6-0 would not surprise me here , that may be a bit generous to City but I do think we will get a reaction from their poor performance at Liverpool.
