Portugal take on Iceland in the last game of round 1 in Euro 2016. This should be quite a good game since Iceland are a team that have impressed over the last year and their opposition are led by arguably the best player in the tournament, Cristiano Ronaldo. Both teams will have belief going into this game and I think we might see an open free flowing game of football.
Iceland shocked everybody with their form in qualifying and somehow they managed to make it to this tournament. This side has no real superstars but they work very well as a team and they will need to play like that again if they are to make it out of the group. The odds are against them but I think they might do better than the bookmakers suggest. That being said this is not going to be an easy game for them.
Portugal are the top seed in this group and this team is more than just Ronaldo. This side has goals, they are solid at the back, and the midfield is productive. If anything is lacking, it is a pure world class striker but Ronaldo will score enough goals for that not to be an issue. I think they will win this game but I think it will be a close win since Iceland are a team that have a lot of potential.
I think betting on the goal line is the best option in this game since we are getting a very short price on Portugal to win. The over 2.5 goals is the bet that I like simply because we can expect a lot of goals from both sides that have great attacking talent. This is a safe bet so a big bet is understandable.
