Spain and Croatia meet up in France on Tuesday afternoon as both teams compete to lay claim to top spot in in their pool.
Spain head into Tuesday’s match up with Croatia sitting atop the pool and undefeated with back to back wins including a 3-0 triumph over Turkey and now they can finish with a third straight win and emerge as group winners heading into the knockout stage. Spain have yet to concede a goal and have been very sharp in the defensive zone but aside from a break through against an underwhelming Turkish side they haven’t been overly impressive either and will be out to make a statement against their group co-favourites from Croatia who is coming off a tough result in a draw with the Czechs after racing out to a 2-0 lead. David de Gea and Spain’s back third will look to keep Luka Modric and Mario Mandzukich in check in what should be the most exciting show down of this group.

Croatia meanwhile spoiled a great opportunity to to finish the group stage with three wins as they conceded two late goals to the Czech Republic in what was a pretty scary scene on Friday as fans littered the field of play with flares and debris. Croatia has looked good despite the final 10 minutes in their last outing and strand a great shot here at taking down a Spanish side that has cruised so far and with top spot in the group on the line you can bet they will be giving it their all here. Spain to me is the deeper team across the board but I think Croatia has the biggest game breaker in Modric which sets up to be a very similar outing to the Swiss-French game and I think we see a benefit-for-all type of draw.
