The top two in the English Premier League go head to head as Chelsea host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, in what promises to be an explosive encounter.

Chelsea host Manchester United in their first big home test of the season. Chelsea have already won on their travels at Tottenham and Arsenal but have yet to face a big six team, at home in Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will be missing John Terry through suspension and Frank Lampard through injury. Chelsea have won four from four at home this season scoring eleven and conceding only three. Roberto Di Mateo will be hoping Eden Hazard , Oscar and Juan Mata can continue their good form and one of the in form Fernando Torres and the fit again Daniel Sturridge will lead the line for Chelsea. At the back Chelsea have not been great recently, looking shaky at times and conceding in each of their last three games including their first competitive loss of the season on Tuesday night against Shaktar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Manchester United come into this game off the back of a huge come from behind victory against FC Braga where United were two nil down only to come back and win three to two, with Javier Hernandez netting twice for the Red Devils. With Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Hernandez and Danny Wellbeck there is no shortage of attacking talent in this Manchester United squad. Sir Alex Ferguson though does have problems at the back with captain Nemanja Vidic still sidelined alongside , Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, add to that the fact Rio Ferdinand is carrying a knock and it leaves United with only a handful of fit defenders. Midfielder Michael Carrick actually deputised at center half in the midweek Champions League game.

Overall what we have here is two supremely talented attacking teams that have somewhat suspect defences. So the obvious pick for me is the over here. Some people may think this game will end up a cautious affair but not me, I think we see four or more goals here and it could very well end up 2-2. Take the overs and cash a winner.
