TV:

Andy Murray and Jeremy Chardy meet Monday in the fourth round of the 2015 French Open.

Andy Murray has lost just one set this tournament and is coming off a straight sets victory over Nick Kyrgios. Murray has won 75 percent or more of his first serve points in all of his matches and is coming off a match in which he had 12 aces. Murray has hit 82 winners in his last two matches and has had 30 or less unforced errors in every match this tournament. Murray has looked sharp early on and has shown limited mental errors throughout the tournament so far. However, the concern with Murray is that he’s gotten 57 or less percent of his first serves in, in his last two matches. Murray also has nine double faults in this tournament. Murray hasn’t been eliminated before the quarterfinals of a major since the 2010 US Open.

Andy Murray vs. Jeremy Chardy 2015 French Open, Pick, Odds, Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Jeremy Chardy is coming off an impressive three set victory over David Goffin. Chardy has played 11 sets overall and 65 games in his last two matches. Chardy has gotten 69 percent or higher of his first serve in play and has 88 winners in his last two matches. Chardy has no more than 30 unforced errors in each of his three matches and has 24 aces overall. Chardy is playing great tennis and his power has really bailed him out of some tough spots so far during this run. The concern with Chardy is that his second serve can let him down, and he’s not winning a high percentage when his first serve fails. Chardy’s only career quarterfinal in a major came in the 2013 Australian Open.

These two have faced each other seven times, and Murray has won six of those meetings. Murray is 1-0 against Chardy in majors and won their most recent meeting in the 2015 Rome Masters. Chardy’s only victory over Murray came in the 2012 Cincinnati Masters.

I never trust Murray the deeper he gets in a tournament, as he starts to slow down and disengaged when things don't go his way. Murray can also struggle at times with power servers and lose confidence. I think Chardy can win this match if he continues to play the way he’s playing.

I’m calling the Chardy upset over Murray.
