Novak Djokovic and Richard Gasquet meet Monday in the fourth round of the 2015 French Open.

Novak Djokovic has yet to drop a set in this tournament and is coming off a 30-game victory over Thanasi Kokkinakis. Djokovic has played no more than 30 games in his first three matches and has committed a combined 30 unforced errors in his last two matches. Djokovic has won no worse than 72 percent of his first serve points and has hit 109 winners through his first three matches. Djokovic also has 13 aces through his first three matches and just two double faults. Djokovic has shown little to no weakness so far through this tournament and has proven he’s the favorite for a reason. Djokovic hasn’t been eliminated before the quarterfinals of a major since the 2009 French Open.

Novak Djokovic vs. Richard Gasquet 2015 French Open, Pick, Odds, Prediction

Richard Gasquet is coming off a four set victory over Kevin Anderson. Gasquet has played a combined 12 sets so far and 87 games in his last two matches. Gasquet has 98 winners in his last two matches and has limited his unforced errors to 31 or less in two of his first three matches. For the most part, Gasquet is playing well and is battle tested after his recent victory over Anderson. The concern with Gasquet is that he’s had a few double faults and got just 56 percent of his first serves in, in his last match. Gasquet has surpassed the fourth round of a major just twice in his career and not since the 2013 US Open.

These two have played 12 times in the past, and Djokovic has won 11 of those meetings. Djokovic has beaten Gasquet eight straight times and their most recent meeting was in the 2013 ATP World Tour Finals. Gasquet’s only victory over Djokovic came in the 2007 Tennis Masters Cup.

While Gasquet is playing decent tennis right now, Djokovic is on another level with his play and his stamina. There’s only so much Gasquet can do before he starts to fold and hand over this match. Djokovic wins once again in what should be another somewhat quick match.
